In the heart of the desert

 

 

DAY 01

Arrival at Marrakech Menara airport. Welcome and transfer to the hotel.

Dinner & accommodation at the hotel  in Marrakech .

 

DAY 02

Breakfast & departure to Zagora via Ouarzazate , crossing the Atlas mountains via the Tizin Tichka pass (altitude of 2260 meters) .  While driving to Zagora , we will admire the small villages and oasis of the Draa Valley .

Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Zagora .

 

DAY 03

Breakfast and continuation to Merzouga via Tazzarine and Er-Rissani . On the way to Merzouga, the road crosses the pre-saharian desert with its magnificent landscapes and numerous Berber villages where time has stood still . 

Upon arrival , to Merzouga , we ride the camels and continue our road to the camp .

Dinner and accommodation at the camp in the dunes of Merzouga .

 

DAY 04

Early morning we will admire the magical sunrise over the dunes .

After breakfast , we ride again the camels for moving to an other oasis where we can have our lunch, as a Berber family . Then we continue our trip to the camp where we will spend the night .

DAY 05

Breakfast and returning back to Merzouga . Then our tour heads to Tinghir via Erfoud , for exploring the canyons of Todghra with the towering rocks reaching an altitude of 300 meters .

And the trip continues to Ouarzazate , along the Dades river, lined with palm trees and Berber villages famous for their rose production .

Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Ouarzazat .

 

DAY 06

Breakfast & morning sightseeing of Ouarzazat and continuation to Marrakech via the Tizin Tichka pass which reach an altitude of 2260 maters .   Visit of the Kasbah of Ait Benhadou , the best preserved Kasbah of Morocco and actually under UNECO protection . The Kasbah has served as decor for many films like for example : Laurence of Arabia .

Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Marrakech .

 

DAY 07

Breakfast and whole the day is devoted to the visit of the historical Marrakech with its  Menara garden , the Saadian tombs , the Bahia palace and the Koutoubia . 

Afternoon , visit of the famous Djemaa el Fna square with its surrounding souks and handcraft quarters.

Dinner and accommodation at the hotel in Marrakech.

 

DAY 08

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for the returning flight .
